Bruin Books is the textbook ordering system for Belmont University (in partnership with MBS Direct) designed to offer students an easy, seamless, price-competitive and direct-ship service for your textbook needs.
How does it work?
Bruin Books is integrated with your class registration to allow convenient purchase of required materials for every course. Simply choose from your New, Used, Rental, E-book, or No Thanks options and complete your preferred delivery address. Textbook fees are conveniently assigned to your student account. Now, you're ready to start the semester!

When do I order my books?
Students registered for courses in any given semester will receive an email prompting students to engage with the Bruin Books Portal. The Bruin Books Portal opens prior to each semester. Check MyBelmont and store social media for dates in which the Bruin Books Portal will be open for ordering.
How do these prices compare to other online book sellers?
Your books will come from one of the nation's largest used book distributors who, by volume, is able to lower your book costs and keep prices competitive with other sellers.
What if I only want to purchase some of my materials through the Bruin Books service?
For any titles you do not want to purchase through Bruin Books, you can simply click the No Thanks option next to the unwanted title.
Where do I find what books are required for my classes?
Once the Bruin Books site launches each semester, you can visit the site at any time to view the books required for your courses. If you would like to view the list during registration, just visit TheBelmontStore.com and select the book list for the current term under ‘Textbooks’. Belmont is not liable for any purchases made from any vendor, including purchases made within the Bruin Books program, resulting from errors or changes in information posted.
I ordered through Bruin Books, but now I'm planning to go through Drop/Add when registration re-opens. What do I do with the textbooks I no longer need? How do I get the textbooks for the course(s) I add?
Return the textbooks for dropped classes to MBS within the return period, and the book charges will be removed from your account once they check in at MBS. Once you add a class, return to the portal, make your selections for the new class, and place a new order.
If I ordered through Bruin Books, but now I added a class, how will I get the additional books that I need?
Simply visit the Bruin Books site and the books for your newly added class will appear. You can place your order and ship to the address of your choice. Note: It can take up to 30 minutes after you register for your new class for the Bruin Books site to populate the added class and load your books.
I'm not registering for my classes until the new semester begins. How do I get my books?
Students who register for all of their courses immediately prior to the start of the semester (new freshmen/transfers, graduate students) will be directed to the Bruin Books portal to place an order for your recently added classes.
